Absolute oils are the essential oils which are highly concentrated and have high potency. These Concentrated absolute oils have high aromatic properties thus they are majorly preferred in cosmetics, perfumery, and aromatherapy. During the postproduction processes these oils are further concentrated to make their absolute.
Lime Blossom or Linden Blossom is particularly popular in France. Its essential oil is actually an absolute, which means that the oil is extracted by adding a solvent. Although Linden Blossom grows widely and is used as herb, the essential oil is hard to come by. It is cultivated limitedly and mostly in France. The genus is generally called Lime or Linden in Britain and Linden, Lime, or Basswood in North America.
Linden blossom essential oil Absolute Therapeutic Grade comes from the flower of the linden tree (Tilia vulgaris), which grows in Germany, Bulgaria, France and other parts of Europe. The tree is quite tall, reaching to 30 to 40 meters, has pea-sized fruits, and scented flowers that produce honey. Linden Blossom is used more in perfumery than in aromatherapy, but it works very well on conditions with a prominent emotional component. It opens the heart and relaxes those that feel they have too much on their chest. It can be used for migraine, stress related conditions and nervous tension. It is also beneficial for insomnia, hysterics and stomach conditions that are due to stress.
