Myrtus communis is an evergreen, hermaphrodite (flowers have both male and female organs) shrub. The leaves are aromatic, balsamic. Recent studies revealed the presence of substance with antibiotic action. The shelf life of Green Myrte essential oil can be extended by storing it in dark glass bottles. Ensure that caps tightly closed, store in refrigerator or in cool, dry location away from sunlight.

After usage it is better to transfer oil from large bottle into a smaller bottle to reduce headspace where oxygen is in contact.

Do not use if aroma has changed or it has become thick and cloudy.
